For this photo I took the light from a near by street light and as well the light of the night sky. With these two completely different kinds of light i was able to make the tree appear as though it was a bright vibrant orange rather then the dull yellow that it is during the day. I believe that it makes it appear as though the leaves are almost flames slowly burring the tree.
This blog is not just for my photo class it is also my way to share my art with the rest of the world. Although I am not always able to show you the work I hope the description alone is good enough.

A New Recreation
The Renaissance was a time when some of the greatest works of art were created. The Renaissance started in Italy during the 14th century and then later expanded to the rest of Europe. two of the most famous men of that time were Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo.
The painting I chose to recreate, in a way is called Maddalena, it was painted by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (also know as Raphael), in 1504. He was both an italian painter and an architect. Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Michelangelo form the traditional trinity of great masters for The Renaissance period.
For this project I recreated the painting Maddalena by taking a photo of a student with the same lighting as in the original painting. Then I photo shopped the head of the student in to the original so that it appeared as if the students face was what Raphael had painted.
Without Darkness There Would Be No Light
To create this picture I used only a small light flash light and used it to illuminate the object in the centre. As well to illuminate the two people holding the object. But I shown the light on them for a shorter period of time so that the object in the centre would stand out the most. This picture is representing the way that even when it seems like there is nothing but darkness light always finds a way to break through.

Looking Beyond A First Glance
Every were you look there is more then meets the eye. To create my name I went out and looked at the world in a new way. Rather then just seeing things for what they are, i began to look at them in a new way. For example, the door handle I used as E went from something I use every day to open close my door to an E in my last name. I was able to find not only letters but other things as well, simply by looking beyond a first gland.

We See Light, Not Dark
For this project I was supposed to take three photos with three different forms of lighting. For the first photo I took to lights and placed them close and on either side of the subject.
For the second photo I placed one light on the right side of the subject and then a small one at the base of the subjects chair so that there would be no real noticeable shadow behind the subject.
The three photos I chose I feel best show three different lighting and how they can change the way the subject can look with just the slightest change.

Pleasure awaits your company.....
"Pleasure awaits your company" is what I read when I opened my fortune cookie. At first I had no idea how to represent it, let alone what it meant. However, when I finally began to understand it, I decided that for my project I was going to represent each word with a photo, rather than the fortune as a whole. For "Pleasure", I want to take photos of things that make people happy and create joy in there life. As well as photos of things that people are passionate about, such as art, sports and music. "Awaits" is the next word in the sentence and was one of the words I had the most difficulty. I decided I wanted to show, people waiting for the ones they love or at least care enough to wait around for. I want to take photos that truly show there emotions while they are waiting for whom ever they are meeting. When it came to the word "your" I didn't really feel like there was a way to represent that, so I decided to just skip it and move on to "company". For "company" I want to take pictures of friends, families, and people in relationships with each other, to show how different forms of company can change your look on not only the day, but life as well in just a matter of seconds.
